That's a good question, On Vent. I am not sure I have the perfect answer. I suppose one way to create a closer environment is by showing a sincere interest in other members. Either in their business, service or in who they are as a person. Something else you could try is reaching out to other Apsensers with common interests and suggesting working on a project together.

Perhaps you could chat with Wincer Song. He'd be a great source of ideas.
