In the early morning (4AM) your guides will arrive at your hostel/hotel to begin your trek. Your transportation passes the towns of Izcuchaca and Limatambo and 3 hours after you arrive at Mollepata.

Review on TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1 In the early morning (4AM) your guides will arrive at your hostel/hotel to begin your trek. Your transportation passes the towns of Izcuchaca and Limatambo and 3 hours after you arrive at Mollepata. At this point we'll have breakfast.

Afterwards we will begin the Salkantay trail hiking through incredible scenery until Sayllapata where lunch awaits us and you can enjoy a brief rest. The group then continues between green and beautiful landscapes until Soraypampa, Here you will enjoy a delicous dinner and camp for the night (trek time: 6 - 7 hours).

Day 2

After a filling breakfast. We begin trekking for the day. Today wll be one of the most difficult days of the trek as you climb to the Pampas of the Salkantay glacier. Here you will enjoy views of the snowy majestic Salkantay and Umantay at an elevation of 4.650 meters above sea level.

As you continue the trek you will arrive at Huayracpampa where we there are further impressive views of the area, here we'll have lunch. After lunch we'll continue the trek, observing how changes in altitude affect the ecosystems of the trail. The trek continues until Collpa Bamba where we will set up camp for the second night. Dinner is served and you have time to rest and catch up with your group members. (trek time: 8 hours approximately).

Day 3

You begin the day with gorgeous views of a new landscape, as well as climate as the temperatures begin to warm as you descend into the high jungle. The group is risen at 6:00 a.m. for breakfast. Todays route will take your through high jusngle valleys where you will be able to see a wide diversity of birds, insects, and other animals from the area. We will also have the opportunity to see the local customs and daily life of the people from the area as we get closer to Aguas Calientes.

Your decsent will let you experience the beautiful geography of the area, small canyons and waterfalls until you arrive at the small town of Playa.
