I've been able to get referrals on Referral Key because I understand the value of a good referral. Therefore, I developed a strategy to incentive and nurture referral sources. I recommend you do the same thing.
It doesn't matter if the platform is Referral Key, LinkedIn or in-person. You have to give people ammunition and let them know what's in for them.
On Referral Key, the key is to 1) Build out for Profile; 2) Build out several valuable Posts; the 3) Build out Your Referral Key Network (don't do it my inviting your LinkedIn or personal contacts); then 4) Be responsive and helpful; 5) Do a great job servicing your referral; 6) Pay the referral fees you promised promptly; and, finally, 7) thank those who helped you and ask for more.
