Review on Huawei MediaPad X1

Whats better than a tablet? A phablet! Whats better than a phablet? A phablet that has state of the art specs and great looks at the fraction of the price of its high end equivalent. So where on earth do you find such a tablet when the market is flooded with options. We dug deeper and found that compared in comparison to other phablets in its price range, the Huawei MediaPad X1 is a clear winner. We compared it to the HP Slate 6 and found that it is better for the following reasons

The HP Slate 6 is a 6 inch phablet with a Quad Core 1.2GHz processor that runs the Android Jellybean 4.3 operating system (upgradable) on a 3000mAh battery. The phablet comes with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, expandable up to 64GB through microSD. The dual sim phablet also features a 5MP rear shooter and a 2MP front shooter.

The Huawei MediaPad X1, also known as Huawei MediaPad X1 7.0 and Huawei Honor X1 7D-501u with Wi-Fi & 3G connectivity, on the other hand is a 7 inch phablet with a Quad Core 1.6GHz processor that runs the Android Jellybean 4.2 operating system (upgradable) on a 5000mAh battery. The device comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage that is expandable up to 32GB through microSD. The phablet features a 13MP rear shooter and a 5MP front shooter.

Evidently, the MediaPad X1 only lacks on the external storage front, does exceptionally well in the camera segment and is pretty much the same as the Slate on the innards front. But in all other segments, it outshines the Slate by leaps and bounds, especially on the battery front.

A bigger screen, a longer lasting battery and a better camera, apart from better processor performance, can be availed by paying just a little bit more than the HP Slate and it is well worth the nearly negligible price difference. So if youre ready to get your first tablet or switch to a new one, on a tight budget, the X1 is the one you need to get right away.
