Your Winter Wonderland Wardrobe

by Loofes Clothing Men Designer Clothing

There’s no denying it: winter is here. The leaves have all but disappeared, all that’s left is the mulch of autumn, and that’s soon to disappear. This can only mean one thing: it’s time to dust off your winter wardrobe. If you're having trouble in the winter fashion department, then you have come to the right place, because here, we’re going to look at some of the hottest trends for winter 2013.

The Colours

As ever, we have a fantastic winter warmer colour scheme this year. Those colours that speak of the colder months – greys, fluffy snowy whites, dark navies, and plenty of black are the order of the day. Don’t forget to splash a bit of colour into the mix, though; we need to see the reds of the red breasted Robin, the deep mahoganies and the Christmas tree greens. If in doubt, then go for the earthy colours, these are the true colours of winter, and they always look great in fashion.

The Hair

Winter is the time for the longer hair. For men, this means floppy mops, and for women, go for a mid to long length, but make it interesting by adding a few layers. If it's time to go out for the evening, then stick a few rollers in your hair to give it some body. This is the time of year when you can get away with the ‘big hair’ dos.

Headwear

Hats are a controversial issue in the world of fashion: some people love them, other people can’t abide them. If you fall into the hat-loving category, then you’re in luck, because there’s plenty on offer this year. 2013 is set to be the coldest winter we’ve had for a long time, so a hat is probably something that many of you will be wearing – even those of you who previously hated hats are likely to try them out this year. This year we’re going to be seeing a return to the cutesy hats – the ones that mimic animals, complete with ears and all sorts – but, make sure that you play it down: a bit of fur is great, but if you want to stay in fashion, then don’t go overboard.

Coats & Jackets

If you haven’t invested in a nice winter coat, then now is the time to do so. This year the mercury is staying well below the norm – it’s going to be cold. For men, coats by brands such as Diesel clothing are going to be ideal – choose those with a sporty, but layered style. Diesel clothing is a fantastic choice because they pride themselves in their love of fashion, and in the extent of the research that they undertake on your behalf. Women, look for longer coats with funnelled collars in those lovely winter colours we discussed above – if your budget can stretch that far, then go for a down-filled coat, they’re uber warm.

Don’t forget to finish off your outfit with a nice winter scarf: a thick knit, chunky scarf is the way forward if you want to stay in fashion this year.
