It’s July in Dubai, which means it’s the peak of summers. There is nothing more soothing than going out to pool to beat the heat or just chill by the beach side. On the other hand, between the pool parties, there is nothing worse than sliding out of the pool with your hands full of hairs and realizing that your pristine makeup has washed away and the eyeliner is down by your cheeks.

Now you might be thinking that how these models get the perfect shots while swimming underwater with a full face of makeup? How does the makeup stay on the face underwater? Many of our customers here at our beauty salon in Abu Dhabi are constantly asking this question that is there any way to make makeup stay on the face while swimming or water sports?

Well, the thing is that waterproofing your makeup isn’t a big deal and is simple than it sounds. There are some simple hacks which means that you don’t have to an expert to get it done.

Here are some tips to help your makeup stay the next time you visit the beach or pool.

1. Avoid Powder

The problem with the powder is that it doesn’t adhere to skin for a long amount of time. Creams, on the other hand, tend to be more adherent so it is better to go for creams while heading to moist places. If you want to use powder anyway, apply it on top of a cream eyeshadow as that would make it stay longer.

We recommend you to either go light on the powder (a thin dusting will avoid looking cakey in heat and humidity) or switching to stain products. For example, you can work a stain blush into your skin so that it's not just sitting on your face, waiting for the weather to ruin it.

The best thing is that you can mix aqua seal into just about anything, but I don’t recommend using this product with foundation because it sets really matter.
