You Should be Talking About System-on-Chip SoC Market

A system on chip (SoC) is an integrated circuit (IC) in which various components, such as memory units, controller units, analog and digital circuits, filters, radio frequency (RF) modules, analog comparators, and processing units are integrated on a single chip.

The increasing investments in 5G are creating demand for 5G network infrastructure. This is expected to accelerate the developments in electronic components and modules such as 5G mmWave antenna modules, 5G multimode modems, 5G base stations, and several 5G RF products. To capitalize on the growing investments in 5G, SoC vendors are releasing products that support 5G to cater to a wide range of application segments. 

Product launches enable telecom service providers and network equipment providers to integrate SoC solutions into their networking products to enable carriers to provide 5G services. For instance, in February 2019, Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson announced a collaboration with Intel to integrate Intel’s 10 nm SoC into its base station products. Thus, an increase in the investments in 5G will propel the growth of the global system on chip market at a CAGR of 6.23% during the forecast period.
