Xiaomi Redmi 4A Launched as Amazon Exclusive

Xiaomi's latest budget smartphone Redmi 4A has been launched as Amazon exclusive at Rs. 5,999. The online marketplace Amazon offers a number of exclusive smartphones in partnership with various companies. Earlier in January, the Chinese smartphone company launched the Redmi Note 4 in three variants. The smartphone is available in Dark Grey, Gold, and Rose Gold color options.

Redmi 4A comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage the 5-inch IPS LCD screen of the smartphone is fueled by a 3120 mAh. The device features a unibody construction and has a polycarbonate body, unlike the Redmi 3S series that has a metallic design. The Chinese player has previously sold its mobiles exclusively on Flipkart.

Launched in China in November, the entry level smartphone in the Redmi 4 Series has a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor and the front camera bears a 5-megapixel sensor. Xiaomi's latest budget phone has an accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light, infrared and proximity sensors on board. The infrared sensor is quite commendable at this price which is not very common in other devices in the same price bracket.

The smartphone weighing at 131.5 grams is one of the most lightweight options in the segment. Redmi 4A runs Android 6.0 on first boot which is backed up by Xiaomi's MIUI 8.0. Recently, the company commenced operation at its second manufacturing plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. On the connectivity front, the budget level Redmi Device features a hybrid sim slot that supports dual 4G sim cards. One of the hybrid slots can be interchangeably used to expand the memory to 128GB. With a number of good products in the entry level, Xiaomi has been quite successful from the very start. This new launch from the company also looks very promising with many power packed features.
