This UNESCO World Heritage site was discovered in 1974 by local farmers while digging. The terracotta army contains 130 Chariots, 520 Horses, 150 Cavalry horses. The non-military figure found includes officials, acrobats, strongmen, and musicians. The figures are life-like & life-sized varies as per soldier's height, uniform, hair style in accordance with their rank. The army of sculptures found near Quin Shi Huang’s mausoleum is in formations which were found in three different pits while digging. Pit 1 is designed to protect the mausoleum, Pit 2 is camp for army and Pit 3 is the functional head quarter. The entire formation amazes the visitors and tourists.
