World Cuisine at Lancs

getaway, make it a food frenzy and the ultimate destination to go on a food
fiesta is none other than Lancashire. A place where, with the yummiest food in
England, you get to enjoy the pristine beauty of the lush green landscape, the
open parks, the castles, state of the art monuments and recreational
activities, sports and more. This place is apparently a platter of a little bit
of everything. But, above all it is about the food here. The local food though
is highly popular here and there have been recipes which were invented around
the 18th century and are still popular and all time favorite of
the people living in Lancashire as well as the tourists visiting this place.

Lancashire is a place where you would get to eat food from all corners of the
world. Here is a run down the Lancashire
restaurants which serve food of different countries –
ITALIAN RESTAURANTS – There are many Italian restaurants in
Lancashire, even award winning ones. These restaurants serve authentic Italian
food that is freshly cooked with farm fresh ingredients. Their menu consists of
the authentic flavors from Italy such as Bruschetta viz. Tuscan bread which is
freshly baked and topped with juicy red tomatoes that are marinated in virgin
olive oil, garlic and basil. For the sea food lovers there is this King prawns
cooked in butter sauce and garlic, chicken liver made in grapes, marsala wine
sauce and pine kernels. Traditional Tuscan stew which comes with king prawns,
calamari and mussels which would linger on your tongue for a long time after
you’ve tried. There is a whole range of Pasta which includes the Penne pasta,
risotto, lasangne, spaghetti and much more.
JAPANESE RESTAURANTS– the Leigh and Manchester part of
Lancashire has a quite a few Japanese restaurants. These restaurants are into
delectable dishes from the land of the rising sun. These restaurants not only
serve ala carte food cooked to order but they also provide readymade meals like
noodles or sushi in packets. The good thing about the Japanese cuisine apart
from its taste and presentation, the food is healthy and rich in nutrients.
THAI RESTAURANTS – As mentioned, Lancashire is a platter
and this platter has space for cuisine from the land of white elephants
also. You’ll get Thai recipes like Habas Fritas which are fried
broad beans, boquerones Marinados, a recipe that is made of white
anchovies that are marinated. The meat lovers have pork meatballs in
juicy tomato sauce with spice, spicy chicken wings with coriander, chilli and
garlic and much more.
INDIAN RESTAURANTS– There are quite a few Indian restaurants in
Lancashire. They serve recipes and curries from various regions of India, but
mostly Punjabi food, veg. as well as non veg. Their delicacies
served include Chicken tandoori, tikka, King Prawns tikka masala,
jalfrezi dishes for Lamb, chicken as well as prawn and fish and much more. It
is authentic Indian - a must visit in your list of restaurants in Lancashire.
There are many other restaurants which serve
foods from Sweden, Lebanon, Korea, South Africa and more. So, this season if
you happen to visit Lancs, go on a food spree and try out the various
