The key here is no banks own this currency, no banks I believe can stop this new currency and it is becoming so popular there are now ATM machines being setup, apps on mobile phones to transfer bitcoins from mobile phone to mobile phone and several countries are getting ready to recognize it. One day, in the not too distant future, you will work with bitcoins as normally as you log on to the internet, make a call with your mobile phone and use apps and listen to music on your mobile phone or mp3 player as well as watch videos.
So if its coming, and its value is increasing, don't you think you should start getting some? It is not difficult to convert your currency to bitcoins - I used my debit card and a service called coinbase and like magic I now had bitcoins. But there is a big challenge right now, which has already bitten me, there are a ton of opportunities out there, claiming if you invest your bitcoins with them, you will a big return on your bitcoins if you leave it with these (ponzi) companies and I did say ponzi because they can disappear at any moment - using the funds they receive from their members to give the illusion that you will get a revenue or interest on your money.
