Why You Should Buy More Designer Handbags

That’s a bit of a bossy and heavy title, isn’t it?  But this a topic dear to me.  I’m not here to convince you to go out and spend more money, but my objective is to tell you why you should invest in a nice handbag.  Over the past several months, I’ve seen so many women carrying handbags that look like they could fall apart at a moments notice.  This surprised me because I thought every fashionable knew you must own at least one well crafted handbag because chances are it will last you a lifetime.  It’s a complete waste of money to buy a bag that will break or fall apart within a few months. 

 

We live in the modern world, but consumers are becoming more thoughtful about the products they purchase.  They are using shopping habits from our great grandparents era.  Consumers are spending less, but what they purchase is high quality thus they are spending more on one product.  In the past perhaps they bought several lower quality handbags, but how they are spending more money on simply one bag.  Why is that?  People now want to invest in something that will last a long time.  Products that use old-world craftsman techniques are very much in-demand.  Consumers know they will last longer than something that is cheaply produced.  Fast fashion is also falling out of favor with certain shoppers.  They are taking into consideration how cheaply the products are made and that the workers producing the garments are not always treated fairly.  Many workers producing garments are paid only a few dollars a day; some even less.

 

As we begin to pay closer attention to what we buy and how it’s made, the natural progression is towards handcrafted goods that have a compelling background.  We are moving towards ethical purchasing and that’s where designer handbags come into play.  There is no need to buy a wardrobe full of new cheaply made bags, when you can buy one very well made handbag.  Remember, it’s about quality and not quantity.  Handcrafted, well made products are durable.  They last more than a few months and will be great additions to any wardrobe for life.  Many of the best designer handbags are crafted with beautiful techniques that include stitching from strong thread and a needle.  It also includes hand oiling raw leather edges.  Hand oiling is an art into itself.  It’s tedious and time consuming.  Many craftsman are not skilled in oiling, however, many designer handbag labels employ amazing crafters that know this technique.  Take my advice and look into purchasing at least one of the new amazing designer handbags on the market.  No, they are not cheap, but they are incredibly well made. 

I definitely agree that we should all buy more designer handbags.  I can’t stress this enough and I probably already have:  quality over quantity.  Just today I heard from my bestie.  She was able to purchase one of the new designer handbags from PLIA Designs and she’s absolutely smitten.
