A lot of the earth’s resources are becoming more and rarer. Their need and the manner in which they are used and traded have probably leaded to a rise in prices in the market that deals in them. Precious stones and metals are most important for reasons which need not be explained for obvious reasons. There are however some problems to this sector. Some people know how rare and expensive such metals or stones are. They know that the demand for them in the global market is high and that people are willing to pay high prices in order to get them. So what they do is that when they get hold of these, they try to store them in order to make them even rarer in the global market thus pushing up the prices even higher up. There are laws in place which ban such forms of hoarding but somehow or the other, they manage to get away with such activities.
