Alphabet takes you from A-Z while Imagination takes you everywhere. These were the words of Albert Einstein, who, even after struggling with academics in school went to become one of the most sought scientific personalities of the 20th century. What resulted in his unprecedented success and fame was the opportunity he had to groom his interest in Theoretical Physics. As they say, one cannot judge the capability of a fish by its will to climb a mountain, similarly, not every child is made to be measured on the parameters of academics alone, and this is where extracurricular activities step in.

At Hallmark Public School, quite unlike all other schools in Panchkula, we encourage our students to dedicate a part of their school day to extracurricular activities. Leaving each student with the freedom to choose the activity of their choice which includes writing, public speaking, dance, theater, sports, and much more, we encourage them to inculcate values or leadership, integrity, team-work, cooperation, and mutual understanding. The idea behind having students participate in extracurricular activities is to help them catch a break from their academic schedule and to have their minds refreshed. All work and no play make one a dull student, and at Hallmark Public School, we ensure no student has a dull day.

With the growing academic competition, parents have a tendency to divert their wards away from extracurricular activities and this trend has been on the rise in best schools in Panchkula. However, we encourage the parents to think otherwise. Yes, professional excellence may find a majority of its source in academics, but that is not the end of the day. Instead, parents must allow their wards to express themselves through the medium of these extracurricular activities.

By regularly participating in extracurricular activities, students realize another dimension of their personalities which plays a huge role in enhancing their confidence, helps them focus better, and assists them in dealing with the personal and social changes around them. Books can offer infinite knowledge. However, there are children who desire more, and therefore, they must be encouraged to channelize their curiosity and energy in the pursuit of these extracurricular activities. One never knows, in the pages of some thick notebook, resides the next Nobel Laureate or a potential Academy Award winner.

Every child is different, and for them, extracurricular activities, and not books alone, are the ideal medium of expression and communication.
