Why Programming
Before we go into the topic
of ‘why programming’ first let us
know what is programming?
Programming is
the method of
taking an algorithm and encoding it into a notation,
a programming language, so that it will
be executed by a computer. Or in just simple words “Programming is a language of telling a
computer what to do through a set of instructions”
There are different types of
programming languages used, for example:
·
Python
·
PHP
·
C language
·
JAVA and more..
So why programming? What’s so
BIG about it? Why is it important?
The first thing,
In today’s world everything
is done on computers;
From sending an email/a
report or even as simple as a picture to a distant colleague/friend/relative to
having an important meeting on Skype!
EVERYTHING!
Having a computer/laptop has
become a necessity for every single individual as it is fast, very reliable and
easy to use.
So it's said that
if computers are a part of your life, then learning to program is going to boost your life!
The main reason why people
learn programming is because they want to make a career by create websites for
businesses or mobile applications.
That is not the only reason you need to learn programming; programming can
also help increase the efficiency and productivity of a person as well!
How you ask?
Let’s take an example of a
Youtuber;
I believe everybody knows who
youtubers are? For those who don’t know, Youtuber’s are those people who upload
daily content on YouTube.
A Youtuber after recording a
video has to edit and upload it, right?
But it’s not an easy as task,
there are different aspects he/she has to take care of for making the videos
attractive; there is audio, there is Video, there is Animations etc. Because
they have to be organized; they create a folder for each of them so the
individual does not get confused what to put where?
Now! Creating a folder for
each of them according to the scene can be time consuming; it would basically
take hours just to organize it!
If that person knew basics of
PYTHON; he would be able to make a
script asking him, how many folders do you want? What would be the name of the
folder? And so on; and that was it! He would just save hours of headache of
organizing by compressing it into three simple steps or so.
It is not said that everybody
should become a programmer or anything like that. BUT! Everybody should know at
least the basics of it. So that they can work smartly and increase their
productivity.
