Why Is It Important to Maintain Your Halo Beast Board Regularly

by Joie Gahum Freelance Writer

Skating has truly evolved from a relaxing and adventurous pastime to a way of life. From being a side hobby when surfing was not possible, skating has evolved into a form of micro transportation, handy, convenient, and affordable for many. Skateboards evolved into electric skateboards, thus the creation of the halo board beast.

However, whether you are a professional skateboarder or someone who is just beginning to enjoy the fun of it, taking good care of your electric gear is a must. Regular maintenance ensures that it is always safe for use. Keeping your devices in good condition also guarantees that you'll get the most out of your purchase and you'll enjoy using your e-gear for a long time.

Maintenance Tips for Your Halo Board Beast

Similar to other electric skateboards, the halo board beast is a complex piece of electrical equipment that requires regular maintenance. The process extends the lifespan of the hardware of your devices. Here are tips on how to keep your electric skateboards in good condition.

Frequency of Maintenance

How often you clean and maintain your halo board beast depends on how often you use it and how a heavy user you are. Make it a point to wipe your e-gears with a clean damp cloth after every use. Dry them up before storing or charging. Daily cleaning ensures that you’ll be aware of any scratches, chips, or cracks in your device. Regular cleaning also ensures that your device is in good condition to be used the next time.

Battery Maintenance Tips

Most electric skateboard batteries nowadays are lithium-ion batteries. They are rechargeable, safe to use, and compact. This is also one of the most expensive components of your halo board beast. Unless you are an expert when it comes to the mechanics of how an electric skateboard battery works, it is not advisable to use a different charger when charging the device.

Ideally, it would be best to charge your batteries at room temperature and avoid placing them in too cold or too hot environments. Avoid moisture in your batteries too, both while charging as well as during use. Always keep it dry because any amount of water in your battery can lead to problems.

Wheels and Motor Maintenance

The wheels and the motor of an electric skateboard are what make it move. Thus, it is vital to take good care of these parts. Ensuring that these components are working efficiently also ensures that they are in the best shape and safe to use.

Similar to batteries, motors should always be cleaned with a dry piece of cloth. Wheels may require some moisture to remove gunk and dirt but should be dried properly before storing. Remove any foreign material like soil and sand to avoid it from getting inside the motor. Wheel replacements are also advisable when the profile reaches 5mm thick or less. Pressure should also be maintained between 35 psi to 50 psi.

Cleaning the Deck

The deck of an electric skateboard is one of the easiest to maintain components of a halo board beast. The entire deck can be replaced when it is damaged beyond repair. When cleaning the deck, use a moist towel to remove dirt and grime on the topside and the underside of the deck. However, dry this portion after cleaning. Prolonged moisture is not good for your decks either.

When cleaning the top side, be careful to avoid damaging the grip tape. If a towel is too wet, it may damage the grip tape prematurely. Some specialty skateboard shops offer tools and mixtures that are advisable for cleaning your electric skateboards more efficiently.

In the event that you have exerted all efforts in maintaining your halo board beast and yet you still see some issues when using it, you might be in need of service. It is always ideal to bring your halo board beast with your manufacturer, or a specialty store if your warranty does not cover fixing your electric skateboard problems anymore.

However, the best option really is to have it repaired and attended to by your manufacturers. They are the ones who understand your e-gear best and would be able to provide the best and appropriate solution to solve any issues and prevent them from rising again.
