Why Are Magnetic Whiteboards Essential Items?

by Jill Smith Shopping
Whiteboards are an essential item within schools, offices and even in some homes. With the quality and price of magnetic boards constantly improving, it is no wonder these are rapidly growing in popularity as opposed to the standard laminated version. Here I shall explain more about these notice boards and how they can be used effectively.

A Magnetic Whiteboard is a better quality version of the standard non-magnetic, or laminated board as they are sometimes called. They are manufactured with a steel sheet underneath the dry wipe surface which enables them to accept magnetic materials such as pins, gridded tape and coloured magnets. As the surface is a better quality on these boards, they come with a longer life guarantee. In general, magnetic boards come with a 10 year surface warranty which is only covered under normal use – i.e it will not be covered if there is proven risk of vandalism, it is used outside, it has been used with permanent marker pens, or if it has been printed on by the end customer for example.

These whiteboards are frequently purchased for use within schools and offices, but they have so many potential uses. One benefit for using these over the non-magnetic white boards would be that you can add and remove gridding to your board as and when you please. Sure you could purchase a printed white board, but if you only need gridding on your notice board for a short period of time and then will need a plain board again afterwards, why not opt for just the one board and make it magnetic so you can quickly and easily change its appearance and purpose when required. Magnetic gridded tape on boards is useful when displaying timetables, rotas, and basically anything you would normally display in tables! It is also particularly useful within sports halls for help with training and game planning where you can use the gridded tape to outline your specific court or pitch layout.

You may often find that you need to transfer information onto whiteboards, such as sales figures and targets. In these instances it is useful to have somewhere to display your information whilst you are writing on the board itself. This is where magnetic whiteboards again can come in handy. Simply stick your sheet of paper to the whiteboard using a magnet and you will not need to try juggling everything at once.

The range of whiteboard finishes on the market today is huge. You can pretty much customize your board to the size and shape you need it with many companies having the capability of custom making them to order. Even the standard finishes that are stocked in the UK are of good range. You can purchase aluminium framed boards, wooden framed boards, or boards with powder coated frames to match you own colour scheme. Why not invest in a new board for your business, and try out the magnetic boards to see how useful they are for yourself.
