According to a recently published study, around 70% women in India aren’t using sanitary pads. They even don’t know how to use sanitary pads especially during menstruation cycle. However, some people blame that due to expensive sanitary pads, women in India are still not using the same, but it is not true as you can easily find out cheap sanitary pad. It Is Still a Taboo Act in India

Believe it or not but using sanitary pads is still considered a taboo act in India. Since there is least social acceptance of this type of work, most of the women avoid talking openly about the same. Least Economic Freedom

However, it is true that women are working on all parts of life, but it is also true that they don’t have adequate economic freedom. Even modern women who are doing jobs aren’t capable of making financial decision. Since women are not authorized to make financial decision, they find it difficult to spend money on something that men in India don’t want to listen to. Thus, if we want to make women in India healthier than ever before, we first need to concentrate on making them financial free.

Lack of Special Education

One of the key reasons behind not using a sanitary napkin is that women don’t have special education about the same. Without any doubt, lack of special education simply leads women towards ignorance. Obviously, if you want to make women aware about the benefits of using sanitary pads or napkins, you first need to provide them with right education. For this, it is advised to setup small groups of education systems in India. However, government is trying really hard to make women in India aware of proper sex education, but despite of its all efforts, government has to cope with unwanted beliefs and religious traps.

Another great reason behind not using sanitary pads or napkins is that women in India are dealing with different types of myths about misconceptions. Yes, there are various myths or misconceptions about using different types of sanitary pads or napkins. So, when it comes to making women aware about using sanitary pads, it is necessary that they should be aware about myths. They need to be given education on how to get rid of different types of misconceptions about using pads or napkins during menstruation. Being a woman, it is your duty to help other women understanding the benefits of using napkins or pads for special days.
