Who Is Going to the 2015 Super Bowl?
Super Bowl XLIX will be held in Glendale, Arizona. That is what we know. Who will be playing in the game is still undetermined, but it’s still fun to discuss.
The three favorites in the AFC for the 2015 Super Bowl are the New England Patriots, The Denver Broncos, and the San Diego Chargers.
While many odds makers and gurus suspect the Broncos to be major contenders come February, it will be hard for them to advance if they can’t secure a better record than their in-division rival San Diego Chargers. Out of San Diego and Denver, the safer bet is Denver, but if Philip Rivers and his offensive line can keep up their current pace, they will be hard to stop.
The New England Patriots highly likely to make it to the playoffs, but there’s something going on with the 2015 Tom Brady that makes their supporters weary. If you’re a Pats fan, don’t buy your Super Bowl tickets just yet.
For the NFC, the top three spots are a bit more up for grabs. God only knows who we will see come out of this conference come 2015. Most analysts favor the Philadelphia Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Green Bay Packers.
While the Eagles seem to be keeping up their pace and quality of play in 2015 compared to last year, they have been relying a lot on big plays out of their special teams units. Their offense is playing OK, but could be playing a lot better. If it wasn’t for their league-leading seven special teams touchdowns through the first couple months of the season, the Eagles could very well be a below .500 team.
When it comes to the rest of the NFC Super Bowl hopefuls, one always has to be concerned about Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers turning it on late and putting a playoff run together. No one can ever know for sure who will come out on top with these two in the running.
If you have to pick two teams, go with the Eagles and the Chargers. They haven’t been to the big game for a while, and 2015 looks like it could be the year for both teams. If they stay healthy and stick to their run-n-gun identities, look for them to face off come February.
There you have it, the two teams that are most likely to make the Super Bowl. If you’re a Chargers fan or an Eagles fan, it may be a good investment to start looking for your 2015 Super Bowl tickets now.
