While I am traveling, for my next Europe trip, I got confused between carrying the two most important gadgets. I did not know the answer, which one to choose a mobile or laptop. This confusion ultimately gave me my topic for the blog section. I work almost equally on both electronic devices hence I could not say which one fits well in the daily use. Below, I have tried to make a comparison between the two.

The Structure, Shape & Portability Factor:

Both of the devices are portable in nature. Mobile phones/smartphones and tablets have smaller sizes. The shape of a laptop represents the letter “L” with a screen on the top and keyboard as the base. Considering a 2D dimension, it could be rectangular or square shaped. On the other hand, a mobile phone has undergone significant changes in the shape, style, and structure. A mobile could be a bar, flip, slider shaped. Further, with the advent of touch screen panel the two evolved shapes are slate and phablet much like a small a tablet.

Display and Screen Resolution:

With a and size, display & screen resolution of mobile or laptop also gets alter. Laptops being bigger in size have a resolution of 1024 × 768 and higher. On the other hand, an iPhone 3GS resolution is 320 × 480 and 5 is having a resolution of 1136 × 640. Android mobile phones have smaller screen resolution as 426dp × 320dp to larger screen resolution 960dp × 720dp. Although, mobile gaming is becoming popular but the experience of watching a movie, video or games on a large screen mean a lot!

Applications & User-Friendliness

In terms of applications and user friendliness, it is difficult to choose between the two mobile or laptop. Both of them have put their best foot forward in the wireless communications industry. Mobile phone is the home of a variety of apps, powerful camera, and calling system. However, laptops offer long hours working operations on a wide screen. It is not about just the wide display but also the storage, processing and working system.

Extra Features

Whether it is about a mobile or laptop, both have extra features having different uses. In the mobile phone you can have an LED torch light, touch sensitivity instant map help and service provider services. However, the laptop provides a complete base for official or personal work like you can access word, excel, PowerPoint and other programs. In addition to it, it has internet applications as well.

Both of them are a bit different, as you cannot carry a laptop all the time for searching mails, calling and handling other operations. Similarly, a mobile phone cannot be put much to use when you have to prepare a report that may take an hour so. Hence, it all depends upon the current priorities whether you select a mobile or laptop.
