Silk is that the textile of the royalty and aristocracy. Desirable for its glamour, luster and sensibility, the history of silk production dates back to virtually 4500 years. Sarees and silks are irrevocably tangled with one another. Regardless of the occasion, Indian ladies drape themselves in exquisite silk sarees in spirited colors and in an exceedingly multitude of draping designs.

How is Silk Fashion sarees manufactured?

Silk could be a macro molecule fiber that the silkworm produces by spinning it around its own cocoon. Farmers typically enable multiple generations of silkworms to reside within the same cocoon. Chiffon- These are fashioned using power looms. The yarn is extremely twisted which generates a thin but durable fabric.

Crepe- These are also finished using a power loom. Warped yarn is used to harvest soft, flowy fabric.

Organza- These are also fashioned using a highly twisted yarn. A rough consistency is given to the fabrics by using starch.

Matka Fabric- This one is a denser fabric than the ones overhead.

Some of the well-known places in India that produce beautiful Indian fashionable sarees are:

Banaras- Banarasi sarees are a necessity for Indian weddings, especially for Bengalis. Sarees from this area are heavily brocaded with themes like flowering bushes, mangos, leaves, etc.

Maharashtra- This area is famous for the Paithani silk sarees. Their names are the gold dots overstated on them.

Patola silk- A portion of Gujarat, sarees from here showcase subjects from the traditional stories of this region.

 Madhya Pradesh- This area is famous for soft silk sarees like Maheshwari, Tasar and Chanderi. Motifs on these sarees are typically those of animals and humans.

Sambalpuri- A part of Orissa, the sarees are exclusive due to their dissimilar single and double ikat patterns.
