When Compact Counts

by Martin Bows SEO Consultant

Content premium page article on Z folding cards with the observation that these typesof small brochure are much more likely to be kept than some of the normal type brochure because they take up so little room in bags and pockets, purses and wallets.

There is a smart alternative to the usual brochure which is much more compact and easier to carry around. It fits neatly into a pocket, wallet or purse without having to be randomly folded like those conventional flyers.

They are becoming increasingly popular particularly with hotels and travel companies and are ideal for railway and bus times as the fact they are so compact means you can keep them handy and refer to them quickly.

An increasing number of leisure centres, health centres and all kinds of other organisations where things like opening times and contact numbers are useful are changing over to these neat alternatives known as Z folding cards.

Size is not everything as many men keep telling themselves and the fact is that there is as much information on this small but cleverly folded card as there is on the conventional A4 size twice folded brochure so commonly seen at everything from a local takeaway to the launch of a new window cleaning service that they have become really quite dull and boring.

This type of card lends itself to things like timetables, maps and routes. They are so easy to keep and so easy to open up in confined spaces as well as refolded easily to be put back into a small storage area like a purse or wallet.

Event organisations realise the advantages of this type of fold away card and production costs are little more than any other type of brochure or flyer.

The standard brochure has been an advertising method for millions of businesses over the last hundred years or more. No matter the size of the business this form of company promotion must still be cost effective otherwise they would not still be using this form of marketing.

It is interesting to note that if you go to an exhibition be it at the local library or at an International launch of anything from the latest Wi-Fi, computer, motor car or luxury cruising boat in all cases you are likely still to be weighed down with reams of brochures and booklets.

At some huge exhibitions you more often than not are greeted at the entrance with someone thrusting a carrier bag containing a dozen leaflets, flyers and trade papers. By the end of the day you are likely to be carrying hundreds of bulky catalogues and brochures and most likely will not be taking them all home.

This new ingenious card is just a slight deviation from the normal brochure we are all so familiar with and a discerning exhibitor might just see you with armfuls of competitor's bulky brochures and politely invite you to take one of these compact folding cards as he tucks it into your top pocket.

It's not hard to imagine what is more likely to still be with you when you finally get home and the carrier bags are left on the train back.
