What you need to know when you decided to get an elliptical bike

by Ellip Ticaly Consultant

A lot of people today, get more convinced about the benefits of working out. Some people run outside, some go to the gym and some of them workout at home with their own home fitness equipment.
Either way, exercising has multiple benefits on your health and on your look also. If you don’t have enough time to go to the gym or go jogging in the park, then consider getting your own machine, for home. If you don’t have one, this article will help you with a few advices on getting the one that best suits you.

There are various machines, but one of the most wanted one is the elliptical bike. The ones we’re discussing here are the elliptical bikes, with comparison to elliptical trainers. There are a few differences between them, but the most noticeable one is the peddling- with an elliptical bike you feel like you are on a real bike, while on the other one, “the steps” are a little bigger, feeling like you are skiing. They both have two handles that move back and forth, for helping you in running and burning more. A negative aspect of the elliptical trainer over the bike is that it usually is larger and takes a lot of free space- thus people might be interested more in an elliptical bike for their home, instead of a trainer.

Elliptical bikes can come with or without a seat. We recommend you get one without a seat, no matter the purpose you achieve it for- it is better for a more efficient workout- the elliptical trainers don’t come with one. Even if you are getting your bike for medical purposes, you might get the elliptical bike- is better to do your cardio seated. It depends, of course, on what your doctor said.
At first glance you might get the elliptical trainer- because it seems to work more of your muscles, but an elliptical bike can work good enough for you too.

Like most of fitness equipment, elliptical bikes can be manual or motorized. The manual ones are cheaper, but sometimes it can get really hard to get them moving. The motorized one can be more fun: it usually has attractive gadgets like MP3, DVD, radio, it also can help you with its pre-programmed courses, and most of the times it has a display screen that can provide you some information about your workout: miles ran, time, calories burnt, heart rates etc. But, the bad thing about these last ones is that they can get really expensive, depending on the brand and other features.

Before actually getting it, no matter which one, do some researches online, check reviews and prices. And more important, check more than one store when achieving it!
