Although the price is steeper than that for cotton, silk is hands down the softest.

Cotton is a great option to silk especially because of the price difference. While the price may be shockingly lower than silk pajamas, the softness will not be severely reduced.

Cashmere is a plush option for colder nights. Cashmere is soft and cozy to the touch, but quickly gets hot in sleeping conditions.
