What to do and what to see when you travel to Dubai?

UAE was once considered an isolated and even a tabooed sort of destination. But in recent years, its popularity as a holiday destination has catapulted to such heights that it has even leapfrogged several other Asian and western countries to be counted amongst the top ten places to visit before you die. There is no excuse for you to back out of a UAE trip. This country is really fascinating and more so because of its unique manmade structures. From the tallest building in the world to the largest mall on the planet, it is here that you would get to see them all.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi are considered the top two destinations in this part of the world. When you travel to Dubai or when you plan Abu Dhabi trips, you may feel confounded with your sightseeing choices. So, without further adieu, here are some must-do things you should do and attractions you should check out:

i.                    Dubai Mall: Do not even think of not visiting Dubai Mall. It is the biggest shopping destination in the world and stands out from the rest because of its unique in-house attractions like the indoor ski. It is a real paradise for a shopper and even if your shopping budget is pretty limited, you can always window-shop and salivate at the prospect of exploring this seemingly endless mall. Other malls which you can visit during your UAE trip are Mall of the Emirates and the Abu Dhabi Mall.

ii.                  Camel ride: When you travel to Dubai, you should also use the opportunity to ride on the back of a camel. You do not get to see or ride a camel in most cities. So, this chance must not be missed. Plus, there are great opportunities to head for desert safaris in the nearby deserts. Try to combine your safari with a camel ride.

iii.                Visit Burj Al Khalifa: Burj Al Khalifa is the topmost attraction of Dubai and must be visited at all costs. It is a building which is so tall that it offers multiple sunset views. It is said that you can watch the sunset from its base. And then you can rush up to its terrace and watch the sunset again. This tower is just enigmatic and a structure so high that it is unlikely that the modern man would go any higher in the near future.

iv.                Head for a cricket match: If you like cricket and if there is a match going on, then you must visit a stadium. The country has some good stadiums especially the one at Sharjah. Even if you are not a cricket buff, you can try this fresh experience.

v.                  Shop at souks: During your Dubai and Abu Dhabi trips, you would come across those enchanting souks where gold and golden items are traded. These souks are fascinating and have a strong native connection with the local culture. If you can afford to shop for gold, then do not let this opportunity slip by.

vi.                Beaches: The beaches of this country are epitomes of exoticness. Make sure to visit some of them during your travel to Dubai. Jumeirah Beach is strongly recommended.
