If you ask any beauty pro, you’ll come to know that glowing skin cannot be found in the highlighter palette. But there are many products that melt into your skin and provide a fake dewy, lit-from-within look. To get a complexion that permanently looks as though you're fresh off from vacation and look healthy, radiant, and clear requires a combination of product, practice, and patience. However, the good news is that if you are short on later, there are many quick-fix solutions.

Here are some tips which you can follow to achieve glowing skin:

a)      Cleanse:

After a day out, thinking about reaching for those face wipes? Then stop! Wiping your face might seem the easy way out, but most face wipes are loaded with chemicals that can cause your skin more harm than good. Also, scrubbing and pulling the skin, especially near the delicate areas around the eyes is a big no.

Always say no to soaps as they can strip the skin of its natural oils and dry them out which causes the skin to break out. Soaps can disturb the pH level of the skin. It is important to invest in a good face wash that is gentle and suits your skin type. Shop for Lakme face wash which suits Indian skin. Later you can use lukewarm water to later up and rinse your face as it can help open skin pores.

Rub this cleanser gently on your face; you might also need to lather up a second time to clear grime or makeup build-up. Make sure that you do not over-cleanse your skin, as it can cause your skin to become dry and break out. Clean your face once in the morning and once in the evening. If you suffer from oily skin, just rinse your face with water and pat dry to control the oil between washes.

Remember to clean your hands with soap before your start the cleaning ritual. You don’t want to transfer germs and dirt to your face.

b)      Tone

Toners help your skin by removing traces of dirt or makeup which is left behind by the cleanser. They also help by restoring the skin balance of the skin by controlling acne and shrink pores. However, astringents and alcohol-based tones can be harsh on the skin by causing excessive dryness. Whenever you pick up a toner, go for the ones free of alcohol and have ingredients that suit your skin type.

Toners with alpha hydroxy acid or AHA can help with acne-prone skin. Toners, which have ingredients like hyaluronic acid, coenzyme Q10, glycerine, and vitamin C work best for normal to combination type skin. If you have sensitive skin, then using facewash and toner together can be harmful.

c)      Moisturize

Moisturizer is important for all types of skin. The key to a good moisturizer is choosing a product that works best for your skin. Moisturizers work best when they are applied to clean, damp skin. It helps the skin absorb well and keep the moisture locked in for a longer time.

Try to massage the moisturize onto your face gently. In the daytime, use the ones that offer protection from the sun, and at night use the one which soothes and repair the skin. While oils provide intense hydration, they are not sufficient to keep skin moisturized. It is because oils are emollients that work on the skin's surface, whereas moisturizers contain humectants that draw water molecules into the skin, keeping it hydrated. Shop for branded moisturizers at the Lakme salon website.

d)      Eat healthy

Remember that whatever you eat shows on your skin, so a skin-friendly diet, including fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats, is important. Food like fruits, yogurt, nuts, or season foods with spices and herbs can be good for your skin.

e)      Stay hydrated

Your skin is an organ that is made up of cells that need adequate water for functioning. If you are not staying hydrated, it can cause the skin to become dry and flaky. Dry skin is prone to wrinkles and age spots.
