They will also need to consult with senior persons to make sure the message that needs to be delivered is consistent and in line with the corporate’s thoughts. The team must also know social media well to be able to provide updates on the company’s news and events.

The markets and environment are always changing, and it is crucial for the corporate affairs management team to keep absorbing information and adapt to changing environments. The team will also need to have a global perspective, be politically savvy, and in tune with the nuances and impact of global regulatory and policy issues.

Corporate reputation management clearly requires a comprehensive skill set that must include communication, problem-solving, writing, research and backhand knowledge about the organization.
