What is going on with Caroline Wozniacki ?

by TennisWeBlog/ TableTennisWeBlog Student
Definitely, we can all say Wozniacki is not at her best play at the moment. After the Australian Open, where losing in the quarter final, Wozniacki has lost her 1st place in the WTA ranking, falling into the 4th one. Yesterday, the danish player has already lost in the 2nd round of the Qatar Open 2012, which can not be a satisfaction for her. In this 2nd roung she lost against Lucie Safarova from Czech Republic in 3 sets (6:4, 4:6, 7:6). In this match, Wozniacki had 3 match points, but Safarova went with 2 great services and one great action defending the match points. It is the first time for Caroline to play in a tournament since losing the first place of the ranking and maybe she is just focusing more on her play, than on the tournament. Wozniacki is the nr. 4 in the world right now, but it does not seem like she is going back to the first place. Before the tournament in Australia, Wozniacki lost in a very exhausting quarter- final match of Sydney Open with Agnieszka RadwaƄska from Poland and perhaps she is still recovering from an injury got there. The danish player is known for her determination and regularity in the rallys, but now her play is just not as regular as it was. We actually can't say why is she playing that bad, but what we can say is that the Rolland Garros is coming and it would be good, if she returned to her great performance.
