What is CNC Machining? What are the Various Types of CNC System?

by Digital Marketing Womens 2019 Fashion Trends

A Brief View of CNC Machining:

CNC machining is primarily a manufacturing process in which pre-programmed computer software dictates the movement of machineries and tools. This process is used for controlling a wide-range of complex machineries right from lathes to mills, grinders and routers. With the help of CNC machining, 3-dimensional cutting tasks can be easily accomplished in just a single set of prompts.

The earliest numerical control machines date back to the 1940s when the motors were first deployed to control the movement of certain pre-existing tools. With the advancement of technologies, the mechanisms were enhanced with the help of analog computers and ultimately with the digital computers leading to the popularity of CNC machining.

A majority of CNC arsenals used today are electronic completely like CNC Machining Shenzhen. Some of the more commonly operated ones are laser cutting, hole punching and ultrasonic welding. Some of the most frequently used machines in the CNC systems include the following types.

CNC Mills:

These mills are capable of running on programs comprising of numbers and letters based on the prompts that guide the pieces across the varying distances. Programming employed for a mill machine is based either on G-code or some unique language developed by any manufacturing team. Basic mills consist of 3-axis system (X, Y, Z). Though most of the newer versions can accommodate more axes.

Lathes:

In this type, pieces are cut normally in the circular directions with the help of indexable tools. With CNC technology, the cuts are employed by lathes are carried out with precision and high velocity. CNC lathes are used to produce complex designs that would not be possible manually on the run versions of the machines. Over and all the control functions of lathes and CNC run mills are similar. This type of CNC system is directed by the G-code or the unique proprietary code. But, most of the CNC lathes are of two axes X and Z.

Electric Discharge Machines:

EDM or Electric-discharge machines is also referred as die sinking or spark machining is a process which molds the work pieces into some specific shapes having electrical sparks. With the EDM, current discharges occur between the two electrodes which removes certain sections of the given work piece.

Plasma Cutters:

In the plasma cutters, materials are cut with plasma torch. The process is applied to the metal materials but can be employed on the other surfaces as well. Plasma is generated with a combination of compressed gas, air and electrical arcs.

In a process which is called flushing, all the debris from the finished work pieces are carried away by the liquid dielectric. Plastic injection parts manufacturer have all the types of CNC systems stated above. Whenever you need to buy any of them make sure that you are buying it from a quality-centric organization.
