2.Emeralds
are always found with some inclusions.If you find a stone with zero inclusions
, its more likely to be a synthetic version of this natural beauty.
3.But
you must know that an emerald is always treated
( according to GIA – in 90% of
the cases ) .But you need not fret , as this is a prevailing practice since
ages.
4.Emeralds
come from the family of beryl mineral.But all green beryls are not emeralds.Only
a Gemologically inclined person can help you in making out the difference.

Gemological survey reveals that color plays the role of chief determinant of
value in the case of emeralds.
6.Naturally
mined emeralds come in the range of medium to dark green to blue green to even
yellowish green color tones.
7.There
are two terms – “ Colombian Emeralds “ and “ Brazilian Emeralds “ , used
frequently while buying or selling emeralds.Colombian Emeralds is used to
describe vivid , slightly bluish green emerald stones of medium to medium dark
color regardless of their origin.Emeralds of lighter color are called Brazilian
Emeralds even if they were mined from Africa.
8.Emeralds
are mostly demanded in step cut or trap cut featuring a rectangular or square shape
with truncated corners.Its a special cut designed for emeralds and its close
