What Do You Do With Your Old Windows XP Machines? (Multi-page thread 1 2)

Here's an interesting question. What have you done or in a lot of cases what will you do with your old Windows XP machine? A lot of people have just dumped,Derma ProMedics  given them to friends, sat them in the closet given them to kids etc...And, if the hard drive is missing, they might not be able to resurrect the machine to a running condition for whatever need they may have for them. From what I understand, they'd probably just pull the parts, and use them with other parts to get a running machine.Other than hearing the wife yell at me about them they aren't doing much at the moment either. Some are empty cases some are just parts but a few would make really decent Linux machines. If someone was willing to use Ubuntu Linux for example instead of Windows they would have a working portal to the Internet and more. Would be great for the kids to do research and write reports on without having money to get it all together.
