Before beginning the article about what we do in MUN? It's important to understand what exactly MUN is about. MUN stands for Model United Nation is an educational imitation and academic activity in which student who participates can learn about International relation, Diplomacy, and the united nations. Here students play the role of delegates from different countries and attempt to solve real-world issues with the policies and perspectives of their assigned country. Here the topic is provided with global importance like water crises, global warming, economic justice.

1 . Participants here are expected to do debates diplomatically based on the topic given to them and should come up with a resolution draft.

2 .  Here debates starting on the topic provided by the UN council the delegation represent the views of the country reflecting country's national interest, rather than their personal view on the issue.

3 . Participant delegates research the topics related to the country's position and paying proper attention to their country's perspective in the topic provided for the discussion.

4 . Delegates come together and enact the UN meeting based on mutually agreed rules of procedure. Delegates will be representing the statements of their countries and debate and try to negotiate with other delegates through formal and informal debates.

5 . The resolution is then written, negotiated, and amended according to each country's interest and against the debate response. Then voting is done for the resolution and amendments. Then finally the resolution is produced before the committee which is accepted by the majority of the participant delegation and the final result of the meeting is declared. So few major points need to be focused on before going for the MUN which will also guide you on how to prepare for MUN.

1 . Position paper (Policy statement): It is a summary of your knowledge about the topic provided, and the position your country plans to take when it enters the committee. It contains four sections: Background of Topic, Past International Action, Country policy, and possible solution

2. Opening speech: It typically lasts for a minute or one and half minutes, this speech is the deciding way for countries to determine who they want to work with. So the participant should know how to prepare this speech in grasping the attention of the other delegation.

3 . How to write a resolution: Every delegate representing the country will be writing a document which is referred to as Resolution in committee along with other countries with whom they will be working.

Summary
