    The End Goal:

Before the application of the WallCare Putty it is always wiser to consider what kind of look you are trying to achieve on your walls. This would save you a lot of time, energy, and money. WallCare Putty is ideal if your goal is either to get the whitest walls or bring out the true color tones of your wall paints. That being said if your goal is anything else like textured surfaces, scented walls. Birla White has a range of different Wall Putty variants like Scented Putty, Wall Levelling Putty MF (Matt Finish). MF is used as first coat on the surface to cover major undulations (if any) and final finishing is done by applying Wall Care Putty with up to 0.0015 meter of thickness.

    Preparation of the surface:

To get the best out of your Wall Putty, one of the most important things is to do the preparation of the surface right before the application. Make sure that your substrate is clean from dust, grease, and lose materials. In case it is not, you can use emery paper and/or putty blade to do so. Make sure you moisten the wall with plenty of clean water before the application. Do not forget to treat any kinds of Efflorescence found on the surface.

Do the right mixing of Wall putty:

Keep in mind that the right mixing goes a long way when it comes to Putty application 1:0.36 to 1:0.38 are the correct water mix ratio for Wall Putty. Mixing should be carried out by a mechanical stirrer vigorously for 3-5 minutes. Use a Metallic rod to do Manual mixing and mix it for 10-15 minutes to obtain a creamy consistency. Always keep in mind that the prepared paste should be used within 2 to 3 hours.

    Do the application right:

The application needs to be carried out carefully and effectively in order to get the best results.

The proper way to apply putty is to spread it uniformly upward. When you finish applying the coat to your wall, you will notice that it begins to dry. At this point, you will notice that a film will begin to appear on your wall.

If you intend to apply multiple coats, make sure to stay within the 2-millimetre thickness limit. The layers you apply later may take longer to dry than the first coat, but make sure your previous coat is completely dry before applying the next one.

After applying Wall Putty, there is no need to rub the surface. However, if you feel the need to remove any unevenness before painting, make sure to use an emery paper with a thickness of at least 500 paper to achieve a glossy, white surface.

Before painting, apply 1-2 coats of Birla White Wall Care Putty (MF) wall leveling putty to cover major undulation, followed by 1-2 coats of Wall Putty as finishing coat. Birla White WallCare Putty can be applied to any kind of plaster/ RCC/ concrete surface, which is free from any loose materials, dust, grease, oil, and stain.

In conclusion, these are the things you need to absolutely consider when using Birla White WallCare Putty. However, if you have decided to apply WallCare putty one thing is guaranteed, you’ll get the whitest finish and the brightest home. After all, it is India’s number one putty for a reason.
