IVF process:-

In vitro fertilization is a type of assisted reproduction technique in which the egg and sperm are collected and introduced manually outside the body in a laboratory. Once fertilized, the embryo is transferred to the uterus using a catheter tube which matures and turns into a fetus for a few weeks. Embryo transfer step by step followed.

IVF/ Embryo Transfer Process Step by step:
Before continuing with the procedure, the patient may be given fertility drugs to stimulate egg production. Several eggs must be developed as some of them could be damaged. Embryo transfer steps include-

Steps in Embryo Transfer/IVF Process: Stage 1
Extraction of the ovum and sperm
IVF requires manual extraction of sperm and eggs from the male and female bodies.

Fertilization in the tube: Stage 2
Now the egg and sperm are introduced into the laboratory tube, which is monitored until they are fertilized.

Embryo transfer: Stage 3
Once fertilized, the embryo is transferred to the uterus using the catheter. It usually takes two to three weeks before the patient begins to show signs of pregnancy.

Steps in Embryo Transfer process:-
Embryo transfer is a simple, non-surgical process. Unlike egg recovery, embryo transfer does not require sedation and the patient can be discharged from the hospital between 2 to 5 hours after embryo transfer.
Both frozen and fresh embryos can be used in this assisted reproduction procedure. The transfer is performed using image guidance from an ultrasound. The doctor uses a thin catheter to move the embryos into the uterus through the vagina. Once the transfer is complete, the patient is shifted directly in the recovery room for 30 to 60 minutes. The above-mentioned steps are the embryo transfer steps.

The embryo transfer procedure has no significant risk factor or side effects. But there are a few things that can be experienced by patients:
• Mild cramps
• Light bloating
• Constipation
• Breast tenderness
• Passage of liquids (small amount of blood) after the procedure
• Abdominal pain
• Mood swings
• Headache
• Sudden weight gain
• Discomfort

IVF treatment success rate:-
Success rates for IVF treatment can vary depending on multiple factors, including family history, reproductive history, lifestyle factors, mother's age and the initial reason for infertility.

Steps of Embryo Transfer: Symptoms of IVF embryo transfer implantation:-
These are the following signs that can help you determine if the implantation of the embryo has been successful:

Spotting - The patient will have slight bleeding after IVF embryo transfer, which can be read as an initial sign of pregnancy. Dark brown spots indicate that the embryo has been successfully implanted in the uterus. However, if the patient has heavy bleeding on the scheduled date of his period, the process has failed.

Cramps - Experiencing cramps after IVF is a sign of pregnancy. Many women describe these implantation cramps as being similar to period cramps. It can continue for two or three days.

Breast tenderness - If IVF implantation has been accepted by the uterus, the patient's breast may become tender two or more weeks after the procedure.

Basal body temperature - The patient's body temperature will increase as they begin to ovulate, supporting it until they start their period. If the basal body temperature is elevated for two weeks or more, it may mean that the patient is pregnant.
