How is batch colors made from?

Batch Colors are the result of a blend of raw resin, pigments and a some specific plastic additives. Through processing, finished products will be a form of particles which are blue, red, yellow,... The propotion of pigment in color masterbatch is usually 10-70%, and it has the excellent dispersion that can help the plastic prodution process easily. After melting, the liquid will be made into fibers and cut into small particles in the comfort of use.

What are the advantages of color powder in comparison with batch colors?

Beside batch colors, plastic manufacturers may also use color powder and color in liquid form to make the plastic products more colorful. For the powder, it is considered to be a widely used and cheapest color substance compared to the other two, and the concentration for this type is about 30-80%. Therefore, the cost of this type does not cause significant losses. But there is a small note: The dispersion of pigments when mixed with other raw materials is usually not as good as using the colored resin term. Furthermore, they can be offensive to the producers, particularly causing dust and machinery and things around them.

Is the concentration of the liquid color compared to the batch colors higher?

Because of the physical properties of each type, the batch colors are more dense than normal liquid. The pigment concentration is quite high, about 30-60% and the dispersion of this form is similar to that of the powder, so the producers only use it for the purpose of creating products with mild or semi-transparent colours. Unlike the popularity of batch colors and color powder, colorant in liquid form is rarely used in plastics production because of its characteristic.
