The emerging market of India represents the aspirations of our youth and offers surge in space for consumerism to embellish. Media like television channels and the internet has augmented exposure of our young people and thereby increased the sophistication and the style quotient. Brands from across the world are easily available in even the smaller cities of the country. Western outfits and its popularity are therefore on the rise.

Internet and television channels in one way have prompted the youth towards adopting western tastes in fashion, food, styles and overall values too. India is a nation of over 1 billion people, with over seventy percent constituting as the youth and this section of the population has the means as well as interest to access all information available. In this process, Internet has been a great leveler bridging the gap between the rural as well the urban counterparts.  The youth has a high ambition of being rich, as the most of the recently conducted surveys tell us. Fashion brands are all out to design dresses to suit the sensibilities of the Indian women. This particular segment of the market is the fastest growing in this particular industry with dresses to suit all pockets are readily available in the smaller cities as well.
