Roka and Thaka: Are the most important pre wedding ritual, it is like celebrating the involvement of parents for their blessing. It takes place few days prior than the engagement ceremony; it is like an official commitment of the engagement and marriage. 

Kurmai: It refers to as a formal engagement ceremony in public that takes place at the Gurudwara or at Groom’s place. 

Akhaand Path: Both the Bride and the Groom performs this ritual separately at their respective places, where a traditional book is read and all prays to ‘Waheguru’ for couple’s bright future.

Kirtan: It is a performance of a religious music prior to Anand Karaj. Sikhs consider it a prior omen to hold at least one kirtan performance before marriage at their residence.

Shagun and Chunni Chaddana: The bride’s family sends gifts to Groom’s family as shagun and in Chunni chaddana Bride’s dress is sent from Groom’s side for the wedding.

Ganna Garoli and Mehandi: In Ganna a red thread is tied on the wrist of the couple, and in Garoli, the Bride’s and Groom’s sister visits nearby temple for holy water. Mehandi is a formal ritual performed by all religion in India in which the Bride and the Groom applied Heena on their hands and feet.

Aagwani and Milni: this ritual marks the arrival of the Groom at wedding venue, and in Milni both respective sides meets each other with some gifts.
Varmal and Jaimala: the Groom is led to the elevated stand where the Groom and the Bride exchange garlands.

Kanyadaan and Mangal Phere: kanyadaan is processed by Brides parents, they hand over their daughter to the Groom, and on the other side in Mangal Phere ritual http://www.fijiwedding.com the couple does 7 rounds around the holy fire.

Vidaai: It is a typical Hindu bride send-off ceremony. It can be said as a bridal lifetime farewell of the Bride which is a very touchy moment.

Mooh Dikhai Ki Rasm: This ritual takes place at Groom’s home where she shows her face to all relatives of the Groom and meet and interact with them freely.
