We accept no responsibility…
We accept no responsibility…
Its not my fault, The rules say…, Our policy is.. and on and on and on.
Everywhere you look there are disclaimers, denials of responsibility, shifting of blame and outright warnings that you are doing this, that or the other at your own risk. What kind of a world have we created?
I had a poor upbringing, my parents were never home, the system let me down, a 1000 and 1 different ways people use every day to refute their own actions and not face up to the fact that they are responsible for every action or inaction that they take or fail to take that results in their failure.
If you are not where you want to be in life it is YOUR responsibility. It has nothing to do with your upbringing, your sexual preference, race creed or color. It has nothing to do with the approval or evaluation of or by the FDC, SEC, or any other governmental agency.
Your life is in your hands and as long as you sit on them and refuse to acknowledge that you have a say in not only the direction your life takes or in its outcome you will end up wherever someone else tells you that you can be, and you will stay there until you either wake up and smell the freedom or are told to do something different.
You were born a winner, your life started (you may not remember this part) when that sperm beat out all its competitors and got to the egg first. That was you, the winner in the race for life.
Next you beat all the odds stacked against the weak and young. Illnesses that take thousands of lives per day, accidents that kill the small, slow and vulnerable, you won out over them all to grow up into adulthood.
After all this your going to abdicate your responsibility to be the winner that life designed you to be! Your just going to sit there and blame anything or anyone you can for your failure to be you!
Follow the law but do what is right and by that I mean be responsible for being who you are, what you do and what say. accept that you can change your life for the better by being you.
If you fail, don’t blame others, accept that you failed and try again. Learn why you failed and how to avoid that failure in your next attempt. Fined those who have achieved what you want to achieve and emulate them.
If you did something, accept the consequences, good or bad. You did it you deserve the reward and trying to pass it off is not the way to success because a successful person owns up to their actions.
As for those people and companies who use fine print to hide behind. Who use policies and procedures to control you or part you from your hard earned money. Shame on you!
So the next time you see a paid actor in an ad, pages and pages of fine print or hear somebody say “It’s not my fault” ask yourself… Do you accept the place you are in life or is your motto “We accept no responsibility”
P.S. May I ask for a moment of silence for Steve Jobs who died today after a long battle with cancer. He was a man who “Accepted responsibility for his life”.

HHCTB?
Well said Udo as usual... Not sure why it is so hard to take responsibility for ones self. Maybe because it is to big of a word with to many letters. Breaking it down in to bite size syllables may help some... Cindy

I see many people say thanks to such suggestions and not do anything about it, I'm glad you are proactive, Udo, not that I doubted it in your case, but it's good to see that :)

Social Marketing works.
A very well written article. The title "We don't accept responsibility" may apply to many TOS but even more to the legions of wanna-be marketers trying to earn money with internet. Most of them fail because they jump in without any preparation or plain. They join social media sites with the sole purpose of spamming their links through copy/paste jobs; they join every new opportunity and follow blindly others. And they quit when they don't earn money fast. They blame the program or scream scam wh
