Watch TOIFA Awards 2016 On Sony TV live

The TOIFA (Times of India Film Awards) honored the best talents of the year 2015 from the Bollywood film industry. The award ceremony was held in two parts- the main event that took place on 18th March 2016 and the Technical Award ceremony that took place on 17th March 2016 at Dubai International Sports Stadium amid 5000 audiences.

 The event will be telecast on Sony Entertainment Television. Ranveer Singh's energetic tribute to Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan's crackling act to Jabra Fan are the two most lavish treats you can look forward to.

The ceremony was held on 17th and 18th March in Dubai International Sports Stadium and attended by Bollywood's best acting talents. Kareena Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez were some of the star guests of the event and the show was hosted by Parineeti Chopra and Riteish Deshmukh.

The ceremony was generously sprinkled by the acts by Kareena Kapoor, Salman Khan, Varun Dhawan and the others. While Kareena Kapoor grooved to the classical old number, Salman Khan entered the stage in style in a luxury car. The attraction of the Night: Bajirao Mastani won as many as nine awards. Piku, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan won two awards each. Bhumi Pednekar won the best Lead Actress (Debut) award for her role in the movie Dum Laga Ke Haisha.

Varun Grover and Papon won trophies for the best lyricist and the best Playback Singer (Male). Badlapur, Tawar and Dil Dhadkane Do and Dum Laga Ke Haisha were some of the other movies that were celebrated that night.

Bollywood's heartthrob Varun Dhawan won the hearts by his powerhouse performance with 'Ki and Ka' girl Kareena Kapoor joining him was like an ice on the cake. The duo performed a power packed and dance and at the end, Kareena gave Varun a kiss on the cheek. The Heartthrob Dhawan was surprised and he also blew a peck back to her. They look adorable together.

Apart from Kareena and Varun, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh also performed at Times of India Movie Award 2016. Meanwhile, most of the honours were bagged by Ranveer Singh (Best Actor Male) for Bajirao Mastani, Kangana Ranaut (Best Actor Female) for Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Bajrangi Bhaijan for the best film.
