Lord Krishna-the worldwide famous deity

Who gave the lesson of ‘Karma’? Hindu deity lord Krishna is the only one to whom its credit goes. His sayings became hit worldwide. Not only Hindus but also, the people of other religions became part of his fans’ list. Whatever his words were, all sound sensible and have made their space in holy ‘Gita’ (the scripture). It’s is due to his clever mind and trickery that led handful of Pandavas to victory in the greatest war of ‘Mahabharata’ against zillions of Kauravas’ soldiers.

Tour-n-Travel companies unfolds Incredible India

This kind of incredibility lies only in India’s enriched history. To dive into this enriched history, incredible India tour packages of various travel & tour companies offer the most lucrative options. Going for Vrindavan tour packages, specifically, is a brilliant idea to interview with the place where lord Krishna’s childhood passed.

Hindola Festival

Visiting Vrindavan during north India excursions in Uttar Pradesh has special arrangement of being religious. Once a bit of this lord’s life is revealed, your sensations and curiosity will go outrageous to peep deeply into it. Like Hariyali Teej of Rajasthan, Hindola festival is celebrated in Vrindavan with pomp & show. However, the former festival signifies lord Shiva and Parvati’s marriage. The latter is linked to notorious Krishna who used to play ‘dandia’ with gopis and swing with them.

When Hindola festival falls?

In the months of monsoon, i.e. July & August (Ashaadh & Saawan), the divinity and festivity get mix in the air. The rain bathes street, flora, fauna and humans to sensitize that festival season is on.

Etymology

In local dialect, Hindola means a ‘swing’.

How folk celebrates this festival?

This festive occasion is celebrated the whole month. Temples are flocked with pilgrims. Their ambience stays echoed with religious (bhakti) songs, hymns and mantras. Swings decorated with flowers, leaves, vegetables, earthen pots, fruits, dry fruits and beans are hung on. The mobile (chal) idol of lord is kept on it and the swing is pushed to and fro.

Alongside, the cymbals, flutes and mrudanga keep on echoing melodies & heart-wining tunes. The temples charge up with the mind-blowing religious songs.

How this practice began?

However, lord’s life gives you clues of how much notoriety he used to do with his best buddies, like Sudama.  Stealing milk and butter from the pots, catapulting earthen pots, teasing and dancing with ‘gopis’ (his female fans) made him ‘dear’ of all.

His rocking side comes forth through his rocking time spent with gopis. The gopis might feel jolliest in his company. That’s why they used to sway on swings with him to meet the greatest bliss. The spiritual aspect states that his female fans (gopis) were sunk into his profound devotion. While swaying, they might feel the height of ecstasy in his company. To get the taste of divine joy, they never missed a bit of time.

It’s been 5000 year old tradition but still, spreads the same fragrance of divinity that it used to be in Dwapar era.
