Vrindavan: Top Three Places to Visit

Vrindaban is one of the oldest cities in India. Situated aside the banks of Yamuna. Vrindavan is known as the birthplace of Lord Krishna where he spent his entire childhood. The holy land of Vrindavan is listed as one of the top religious places in India. 1.Banke Bihari Mandir
The Banke Bihari Mandir of Vrindavan is a Hindu temple adorned with stone works, an arched window, and a Rajasthani style architectural design. It is one of the seven temples of Thakurs that attracts the devotees of Lord Krisha from around the world. This temple comprises the image of Lord Krishna as a child. According to legend, Lord Krishna doesn’t like the sound of any bells; you won't find any bell inside the temple. If you are a devotee of Lord Krishna and like a peaceful place with light religious chants in the air, then do not miss this place in Vrindavan. 2.Prem Mandir
Prem Mandir also is known as “The temple of God’s Love” is a grand temple covering an area of 54 acres with breathtaking ambiance. The temple is dedicated to the eternal love of Goddess Radha and Lord Krishna. This temple also celebrates the love between Lord Ram and Goddess Sita. The whole temple comprises of a height of 125 feet, crafted with the beauty of Italian marbles. With a carving of semi-precious stones of the doors and walls, you can also find engraved beautiful statues on the pillars of the temple.
 
The best part of the temple is the beautiful musical fountain programs that take place at the evening from 7:30 to 8:00. Janmashtami and Radhastami are the best events that get organized here. Even though November to March is the ideal period to visit the place, you can also visit the place around Holi. Do not forget to include this place in your Mathura Vrindavan tour package.
 
3.ISKCON Temple

When it comes to Lord Krishna, the devotion of the worshippers can be felt in the air of ISKCON Temple. Also known as, the Krishna-Balaram Temple, the temple was built in 1975 with an aim to spread the awareness about the teachings of Bhagavad Gita and Vedic Scriptures to the people around the world. According to mythology, Vrindavan is the childhood home of Lord Krishna and his elder brother Lord Balaram. The central slab of the temple comprises of idols of Lord Krishna and Balaram. On the left side, you can find the statues of iconic devotees of Lord Krishna such as Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Nityananda, Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, etc.
