VITEEE 2016 Result Due On 29 April 2016
The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) will announce VITEEE 2016 Result on 29 April 2016. The exam will be conducted from 6 to 17 April 2016 in online mode. The VITEEE 2016 will be conducted in 118 cities across the country.
The result will be available online only. The candidate can access the VITEEE 2016 Result from official website; also, the link will be uploaded here. After the declaration of VITEEE 2016 Result, the counselling will start from 2nd week of May 2016.
Each year over 1.5 lakh candidate appear for the VITEEE, however only those candidates are called for the counselling whose rank fall under 99,990. Evaluation of VITEEE 2016 Result
VITEEE 2016 result will be evaluated using equating percentile methodology. It is a statistical method to facilitate fair ranking of the student. Many colleges and universities use this method to avail a fair ranking mode.
VITEEE prepare a merit list using the above method, University allocates percentile to the students based on this method. Pertaining to this percentile rank only the seat is allocated to the candidates.
VITEEE 2016 Counselling
VITEEE 2016 counselling will start in the month of May. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their All India Rank (AIR) secured by them in the VIT engineering entrance exam 2016. The procedure followed for the selection and admission procedure for all the candidates will be single window counselling.
Selected candidates will need to be present in person for the counselling process at their preferred campus i. e either VIT Vellore or VIT Chennai. Counselling will be conducted in slots. There will probably be four slots divided as below:-

- The candidates whose fall under the rank of 1-8000, their counselling will be conducted on 9th May 2016 Monday.
- For 8001-12000, the counselling date is 10 May 2016 Tuesday.
- 12001-16000, the counselling will be on 11 May 2016 Wednesday.
- The last slot will of those candidates whose ranks fall under 16001-20,000. The counselling date will be 12 May 2016 Thursday.
Candidates need to bring following documents along with them for counselling:-
VITEEE 2016 admit card, VITEEE 2016 result copy, class 10th mark sheets, class 12th mark sheet, special category certificate (in case candidate belongs to SC/ST or any other reserved category), nativity certificate ( applicable for the candidates hailing from Jammu Kashmir, North eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura) and a demand draft of Rs 50,000 payable in favour of VIT University.
