You do not wake up every day; roads were flooded message in Jaisalmer. And behind closed doors at Suryagarh magnificent castle, watching the monsoon rains pouring from my window in the desert, I was eager to go out and soak in the atmosphere. That is when I heard about the legend of Paliwal Brahmins. Set 200 years ago, who had disappeared overnight, leaving a ghost village to tell their story, a story of society. Haunted trail, called Kuldhara Jaisalmer nearby villagers held the evening Suryagarh, but it is very attractive, day to explore the abandoned village well.
Followed by constant rain on our roads, but it is magical feeling boom in the desert monsoon. We see an oasis in almost everywhere in the water pouring through the low-lying, flooded roads. Darkness falls pregnant rain clouds took over the sky. In the hot desert only too willing to accept the downpour. The locals celebrate, because we met some of the roads, who are rushing to their homes a sumptuous lunch.
Desert looks charming, but here we are in creepy clues. We took a detour to reach Kuldhara. An old man dressed in white, sporting a long gray beard flowing to emerge out of nowhere, looking like a ghost himself. He has a timeless feel to him. The wrinkles on his face and his deep-set eyes seemed to tell their own stories, but he was more interested in narrative Paliwal Brahmins who once lived here in the 18th century story.
The Paliwals by the local rulers Samant or harassment and to give them in the form of taxes paid huge sums of money. But one day, the rulers apparently set girl in the community; it may be the daughter of one of his chiefs’ eyes. The Paliwals was given no choice in this matter, they have just one day to accept his proposal. Remorse and despair overcome the whole society and left their homes behind the chimney, cursing the king and escaped death during the night.
We climbed up inside an abandoned home steps to reach the balcony rickety aircraft, saw the broken remnants of the village. Puddles gathered in the narrow alleys reflect the collapse of the ruins. The village wearing desolate look, there is a feeling of being cursed. Only a lonely temple stood among the ruins of the decoration. Many of the stories floating on the water. Some people say "chudails" or ghost walked around at night, unforgettable place. It was also said that no institution lived here since the mysterious deaths occur.
