Venetian and Sunscreen Blinds

by Mohit J. White Hat Link Building Services

These are just two of the many types of window blinds, which are a popular form of window coverings.   This article will tell you what they are and the pros and cons of each.

Venetian Blinds

This type of window blind is a classic choice for windows.  They are durable due to them being made of aluminum, which also gives them their strength.  They can also be made from plastic or wood.  Venetian blinds are lightweight with thin horizontal two-inch wide slats.  You can get them with thicker slats for more strength.  They are not affected by humidity.  They can be used on any type of window in homes or offices.

They also do not require much maintenance.  They are simple to handle, transport, and install. Some of the slats are flat-faced while others are not.  They offer a range of light control settings, from totally lifted for optimal light to an opaque privacy screen.  They also have a wide range of colors.  These blinds are window covering that is cost-effective.

While there are many pros to Venetian blinds, there are also cons.  One con is that is made of aluminum, they do not offer much heat insulation.  Sometimes it is hard to fold them without damaging the slats when you use them.  Their cord operation is not safe for children or pets because it is too easy for them to get tangled up in them and possibly choke. The horizontal slats seem easier to have dust settle on them so they may need to be dusted more often than blinds with vertical slats.

Sunscreen Blinds

This blind is made using an incredible new technology where the fabrics used in these sunscreen blinds give you greater control over the heat and glare of the sun in your office but it does not block your view of the outside world.  It is a mesh fabric that blocks out 95% of the harmful rays of the sun.

The fabric is wrapped around a tube and is turned with an operating chain and a sidewinder unit.   This gives you more control when you use them.  They offer a translucent yet solid screen of fabric.  They would look good in any room in the house or office. They are energy-efficient window blinds.

One con of sunscreen blinds is that can potentially prevent total shielding from sunlight and limit privacy.   They are not as versatile as other blinds but you do have the option of day/night brackets installed.  These will include an additional translucent or blockout roller blind for privacy at night.  They are also not as economical as other blinds.

Conclusion

Both of these window blinds have many pros and cons so which one you choose is what you prefer and where you are using them.  They both can be used in an office or home, and blocks out the sun’s rays plus gives you privacy.  Check them both out, and do your research before you make you final decision as to which window blind works best.
