Vardy and Mahrez not dominating Pellegrini's focus
Manchester City have to be wary of Leicester City's other stars not only Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez, says Manuel Pellegrini.
Manuel Pellegrini has warned Manchester City that there's much more to surprise Premier League leaders Leicester City than just Jamie Vardy and Riyad (come to Cheap FIFA 16 coins) Mahrez.
Leicester lost for just the second time inside the league this season at Liverpool on Saturday, but are still top of the table getting taken 38 points from 18 matches.
Much of their good results has been down for the type of Vardy and Mahrez, the (vist Fifa coins) former tops the league's goalscoring charts with 15 when the latter is two behind the England international.
But City manager Pellegrini believes it could be foolhardy (go to fifa 16 coins) to focus all their energies into stopping the duo when the sides meet on Tuesday.
"Both of them are extremely fantastic performers, but I do not feel they could do it if their team just isn't performing well," Pellegrini said.
"They are critical players but we will have to think of a great deal of unique factors, and not only two players."
The leaders' 1-0 loss at Anfield allowed City, who are third, to move within 3 points of top rated spot as they battered Sunderland 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium. A win at the King Energy Stadium will lift Pellegrini's guys above Leicester.
City had lost 2-1 to second-placed Arsenal in their preceding outing, but Pellegrini was not concerned over the six-point gap that had opened to Leicester.
"We hope that if we repeat the performance that we did [against Sunderland] then we can beat them but it will likely be a very tough game," he added.
"I consider Leicester are top rated in the table simply because they deserve it. They have extremely very good players that are in kind and that are higher functionality.
"It was not quick for Leicester to beat Liverpool, that is why we had self-confidence that when we have to play them, we are able to minimize the gap if we beat Sunderland.
"We did and Leicester could not win, so now we have an important game to finish the very first round of your fixtures.
"We must play 63 points more, that is why I mentioned that in December, you never ever win the title."
