Vape Cartridges - What are they and their types and benefits?

by Alex S. Tech Bloger

Vape cartridges are trending these days, especially among those who are looking for exotic ways to enjoy the instant effect of smoking with less odor and lung irritation. Usability, functional capabilities, and portability are three terms often associated with vapes. Vape cartridges are both easy to use and discreet, and it is super easy to manage (administer) concentration dose with vape cartridges. Plus, the vapor produced is not strong and the odor does not dawdle to stay long.

What are the Vape Cartridges?

These are small cartridges of full-bodied cannabis oil, used with vape pens. The oil includes assorted cannabinoids and terpenes extracted from cannabis. It is also known by the name of the tank and oil holder. Polycarbonate plastic is the most commonly used material, however, glass and stainless steel are getting common too.

Each vape cart consists of a heating element used for vaporizing the contents (oil), called an atomizer. The two predominant types of vape cart are 510 thread cartridges (the standard one), and the PAX, rectangular-shaped cartridge. Along with the cartridge, a 510 thread cartridge adapter is used to connect a pre-filled or empty cart with the power source (battery). The battery is used to power the cart and is commonly known as a pen. The airflow of the device can be controlled using 510 airflow adapters with the tanks. The 510 airflow adapter is an add-on accessory if you wish to convert an oil holder to an adjustable airflow type tank. The 510 air flow adapter operates to enclose the airflow levels, boosting the resistance felt by the user while taking a draw-off of the e-cigarette. The 510 air flow adapter screws onto the 510 thread connector of your e-cigarette.

Types of Vape Carts

There are 3 following basic options:

Disposable Pens: This is an ideal option for newbies as it does not require any assembly and charging. These are single-use pens, meant to be thrown after use.

Pre-filled: Possibly you have already tried an e-cig or some vaporizer with a standard 510 thread adapter. These carts are compatible with several devices.

Refillable: this option is the best fit for advanced cannabis users, willing to combine different strains. However, this is the most expensive option and requires regular cleaning for optimal working.

Benefits of Vape Cartridges

Portability

Thanks to their lightweight, Vape pens and cartridges are easy to carry in your pocket or purse. Not just that, they are the most discreet way of consuming cannabis.

It is different than Smoking, it's Vape

Several reasons make smokeless options better than traditional inhalation methods, smoke-free apartments, no passive smoking, and several more. Vaping THC oil produces vapor only, no smoke, and the vapor has a light odor that doesn't linger.

Servings can be controlled

Pre-filled vape carts are best for finding the optimal dose for yourself. There are studies, suggesting that controlled servings minimize respiratory risk factors. Data suggests that respiratory symptoms like phlegm and chest congestion are less severe with vaping in comparison with smoking.
