Use of Abacus in Math’s

The abacus is one of the tools to develop the human brain in early stage of childhood. When you introduce the abacus for your kid then you need to do some practices to make it interesting for them to learn. In such cases learning maths with the help of Abacus will guide young children for writing numbers in later education. An abacus lets children to visualized maths formulas by working with real objects. This practice through abacus can also be fun for the children to become complete learner in calculations before moving to more problematical formulas. An abacus is particularly valuable at training kids the concept of tens, hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, and so on. Now the question will arise how you can make mathematics fun with the help of Abacus. Here we have some of the points which can help you out in this regard:

• Tell the child to add three plus two in that case has a slide three beads to the opposite site and two beads far from where they currently sit. Then ask for the total then she will count the beads and come to the conclusion of five.

• Then the next step will take place for subtraction you need to ask him to subtract four by three. Have him slide four beads to the right of the abacus and then slide three beads back. Then you should ask him for the final outcome he will count as 1 and have him say it loud that four minus three is one.

• Then you should go for the next level by showing him that each level of beads represents a higher version of numbers.  You have to make him understand that first rod represent zero to nine, second represent 10 to 90 and third represent 100 to 900 and so on.

• Then you should move to the next part of subtraction by using two rods. Have him subtract 35 from 58. He must line up the beads in way you explained him earlier so the beads can represent 58. Then we can see that the first rod will have 8 and the second will have five. Take five away from the first rod with remainder of 3. Take 3 away from the next one with the remainder of 2. Hence the answer will be 23.

• Now the next part will took place when you will ask him to add 34 to 22. He need to line up beads as you have educate and instruct him earlier let him have 4 at first rod and 3 on the second rod. Start with the first rod and add 2. Then you need to move on the second rod and add 2 again on the same hence he can get the final answer as 56.

In such way you need to put gradually pressure on the brain of kid by increasing the difficulty level after proper practice of the earlier calculations.
