Unlocked Elephone P8000 is getting its Android 6.0 Marshmallow update within 24 hours

If you're in the US and you own an unlocked Elephone P8000 , you're about to receive an official update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Mo Versi, Vice President of Product Management at Elephone USA, today confirmed that the update will be rolled out "within the next 24 hours."

It's worth mentioning that Mo Versi specifically talks about the US version of the unlocked Elephone, so folks in other regions might not (and probably won't) get the update in the next 24 hours. Earlier today, we told you that the Elephone S2 Plus is expected to be updated to Marshmallow in about two weeks.

Mo Versi further mentioned that the Marshmallow update for the Elephone P8000was also "coming soon." Several months ago, Elephone said that both the Elephone and P8000would get Android 6.0 starting the end of the year, so we hope the P8000 won't be left behind.

As for US carrier variants of the Elephone and Quad Core Phone, these should be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow a bit later: starting early 2016.
