Understanding The Role Of Treating Night Splints

The therapeutic benefit of night splints is based on maintaining the length of the plantar fascia while the patient sleeps. Normally, muscle tone within the triceps surae causes the ankle joint to assume a plantar flexed position while at rest. With the foot in the plantar flexion position, the plantar fascia and intrinsic plantar musculature shorten, relax and adapt overnight to a nonfunctional state. The shortened, tight plantar fascia and intrinsic musculature would explain the phenomenon of post-static dyskinesia in which the first few steps after long periods of rest are extremely painful.
The posterior night splint retains the tension within the plantar fascia and intrinsic musculature, maintaining their functional lengths and decreasing the sudden stress that ambulation places on the plantar aspect of the foot after periods of rest. One can position splints with the foot dorsiflexed at 5 to 15 degrees to the leg. In addition, podiatrists may add a pad to the anterior aspect of the night splints to maximize the stretching of the plantar fascia and intrinsic musculature.
PF Night Splint Compared to plantar based splints, patients prefer dorsal models because they are less bulky, cooler, lower profile and easier to walk in at night. PF Night Splint includes all of these features and more. Neoprene calf and toe straps along with gel padding on the top of the foot help reduce pressure points and the plastic-free bottom offers safer nighttime ambulation. Even added more room in the forefoot to accommodate wider feet and flexible shell allows easier nighttime ambulation without compromising the ability to hold the foot at 90° during rest. Finally, a plantar fascistic splint patients will wear all night.
PF Night Splint comes with de-rotational bar for night splint and perfect immobilization, molded foot cast provides better comfort and pleasing aesthetics. Customized degree of dorsi flexion and better grip can be attained with double strapping mechanism.

Tynor R.O.M Knee Brace is basically range of motion knee brace which is scientifically designed to limit the knee movements for faster recovery after surgery. It has metal hinges on both sides and it can be fastened with the help of straps. It also provides support to the knee. It ensures immobilization at any angle easily.
It is made of soft and durable fabric. It restricts the movement of the knee joint through a multi point joint fixation system. Thus it gives a controlled range of motion to the knee so that it can be recovered easily. It can be easily worn and can also be removed easily. It can be adjusted easily by changing the pin position. It is very comfortable and convenient to use.
Tynor R O M Knee Brace prefabricated, custom adjusted R.O.M. Knee Brace controls and restrict flexion/extension of the knee joint through a multi-point joint fixation system to allow a range of motion or immobilization to the knee. Universal design allows it to be used on quite a big range of population and for a multiple orthopedic problems associated with knee joint. Immobilization at any angle. Controlled motion between any two angles. Quick and easy application and removal.
