Understanding how Police watches have been able to carve out a niche in the market

At the time when Police watches were making an entrance into the market, there were many different kinds of watches on the market. As a matter of fact, it seemed like these watches would struggle to create their own niche. However, after several years on the market, these watches have been able to make a mark on the international scene. Today, almost every country you go to will have many people swinging their arms and looking elegant in the watches from Police. Whether or not these watches would make it on the scene is always going to come down to three very important factors:

1.      Uniqueness

The reason why people tend to cross over from their traditional brands is because the newer brands offer them some kind of uniqueness. Naturally when there are many brands on the market, in order for a new brand to carve out a considerable niche, it has to be extremely unique. When Police watches were released onto the market, they presented a kind of watch that was very different from the rest. There was an aspect of difference and there was a general idea that these watches were actually not going to attempt to conform to the standards that existed at the time. Therefore for people who were looking for watches that were considerably different from the older models, these watches presented a real solution.

2.      Acceptability

Generally speaking, before an item or product can carve out its position on the market, it will have to be accepted by the public. When the Police watches made their entrance into the market, they came at a time when people were willing to venture out and try newer watch models. This essentially meant that people were willing to accept the newer models of watches as long as they offered some kind of stylish breakaway from the already existing watches. These watches from Police were accepted by both the customers as well as the critics. The customers were keen to try them out and the critics were keen to compare them with already existing brands.

3.      Effective marketing

One of the reasons why watches from Police made a grand entrance on the market was because of the effective and well-planned marketing and promotion. While other watch makers were hoping to market their products using traditional methods, Police watches (or as the Danes say Police ure Uretilalt) were being marketed using unconventional means. The public was told to try out these watches not because they were the best but because they were worth a try. In turn, people tried these watches out not to replace their older preferred models but to simply try out something new. As it turned out, the new watches from Police took over the market and with time it became apparent that after all, the new market entrant had arrived with a bang. Many of the people who tried out the Police watches for the very first time ended up becoming loyal customers with time and this is one of the reasons why these watches from Police have continued to dominate the market.
